"i didn't know you had to go so soon."
- jessica molaskey's version of 'see i'm smiling' from jason robert brown's 'the last five years'
i am taking my notes more seriously i guess. as seriously as one can understand in regard to creativity.
if i am going to be a librettist, i have to document everything.
colleen atwood says shes make some really ugly stuff in her life. well i have to do that, because when i do, it won't be half-assed.
those ugly things will tarnish, under pressure, they form something beautiful.
projects are so beautiful. demo recordings are fossilized and found by some young-adult teenager, and save them, inspire them.
who knows if i will ever meet, talk to, or work with jason robert brown. who knows.
my work will reflect the impact he's had on my life, the same way someone my age now thirty years from now will see and cherish.
this is for you.
you liam ryans, future dreamers, ones who'll make it.
