โฉย Interview With a Vampire -- Anne Rice
โณ I loved this book, its creativity has made me read the second book, The Vampire Lestat, and Anne Rice has the incredible ability to pull you into the world of the vampire and make you wish you had it. If you love the tales that tackle the complexities of the immortal and passionate descriptions of relationships of the undead, I would definitely pick this one up.
โฉย Dracula -- Bram Stoker
โณ The classic we all know and love, the book that started it all when it comes to vampire media. This story has been around since 1897, you may have already read it in your high school literature class. But if you haven't picked this one up yet and are looking for a gothic tale of deceit and immortal lore, this fits the bill.

โฉ Prozac Nation -- Elizabeth Wurtzel
โณ One of the rawest books I've ever read. Every ugly truth about mental health and especially bipolar is displayed and as someone who is diagnosed and used to take Prozac, I liked reading the book because it reminded me I'm not alone. A little bit of a biased recommendation but had to have one of those in here somewhere.ย
โฉ My Year of Rest and Relaxation -- Ottessa Moshifegh
โณ Early 2000's New York rich girl flair, the troubles of unresolved grief, and addiction to downers, this story is deep in on the woes of a young woman who is learning that sleep can distort time, and how addictions affect different people. She goes from working at an art gallery to going into the art gallery in the most twisted way possible.ย
โฉ The Final Girl Support Group -- Grady Hendrix
โณ Remember that one final girl in your favorite horror movie that lived but probably shouldn't have? This book pays homage to the final girls of some of the most famous slashers, including Scream, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Friday the 13th (among others). A support group for people who have survived these attacks is being attacked again. They survived once. But can they do it again?
โฉ Daisy Jones and The Six -- Taylor Jenkins Reid
โณ My biggest flex is that I read this book before Amazon got its grubby ass hands on it. I didn't really like the show and preferred the book so much more. The way it's written captivated me, and as someone who thoroughly enjoys singers like Patti Smith and Stevie Nicks, I loved the way this story was composed. If you love the 70s and the music from that time, I would definitely invest.ย

โฉย Diary of An Oxygen Theif --
โณ You all know that loser. The loser who thinks he's a 'player' and messes around with women's emotions? But in this one, justice is semi-served. This book is honestly a dumpster fire and the only book on this list that I actually don'tย recommend, this is just a PSA to not waste your time. Because I wasted mine. And I'm pissed.ย
โฉย American Psycho --ย
โณ You know the main character is a putz when the guy who played him thinks he's a joke. Patrick Bateman, the loser of Wallstreet. But if you take what was shown on screen and add parts that were only in the book, you have one twisted tale of one twisted prick.

โฉย Tender is the Flesh --ย
โณ Cannibals, a meat plant, a world where it is socially acceptable to eat another human. Without spoiling the book, that's about all I can tell you. A book that challenges your morality, forcing you to ask the unspeakable question: "Would I eat my own species?"
โฉย Fight Club -- Chuck Palahniuk
โณ The way that this was written will forever change the way I approach books, because what happened in this book, I could never dream up in a million years. My bias toward Brad Pitt and Edward Norton aside, this book was brilliantly done, straight to the point, and only 224 pages.ย
OKOKOK I'm done, I really hope you guys appreciate the recommends and I hope you liked these books as much as I did. (Except Diary of an Oxygen Theif, I meant it when I said don't waste your time.)
