i recently rewatched there will be blood... for like the third time now!, but it was different this time.
i decided to check out the latam spanish dub for it since i wanted to see how it actually held up or compared to the original, this was also because i haven't watched TV in years and i've sort of evolved into only watching content in english or with english subtitles lol
the experience was only strange because of some interesting dub choices that were done in the dub; eli's voice actor was the man i expected (though i do not know his name, just his voice because i feel like he's work on a lot of big dub projects) and he was pretty good for the most part;
(though obviously paul dano's perfomance in the original is superior) until it came to the scene where daniel jostles eli in the mud...
it was oddly, graphic? it was a deliberate choice to make eli do strange noises... quite loudly in the dub when all he was doing in the original was gasping for air loudly... it was kinda awkward but also insanely funny after getting pass that scene
