Sunflowers look down when not in front of me,
my brightest rose,
shine where you wander,
bloom of undying beauty.
Sunflowers mirror your light,
see what you always give to me,
a golden valley of little stars:
count your every smile.
These yellow petals aren't made to last,
they look down with me
as I wither and crumble under the desert night.
then you'll hear my core truly cry.
it was my mistake to thing
I was made to reach the stars
but I burst at every inch to your vicinity.
Icarus taught me recklessness,
I was made to fall.
My brightest rose,
forgive my humanity;
for I wasn't made to love the sky
but just gifts on earth:
that valley of sunflowers that only salute you.
