Adulthood Musings and Mournings...

One does not simply walk into adulthood; it is thrown at you with no caution to the wind. Some people have support systems, some do not. It's actually funny how hard being an adult actually is, no matter the background situation at hand. 

I stumbled into this adult world just a month before the pandemic hit, and by God is it hard adjusting now that we're "back to normal." It's been a very humbling experience with all the hardships I've gone through, but still very rewarding considering my very notable achievements - Dean's list, amazing reputation with a potential career-starting non-profit, et cetera...

But that doesn't erase the fact that I've gone through so, so much. It's crumbled my exterior and damaged my interior far too long. I began to lose hope, but I decided not to give in to that voice. I have an amazing career in front of me, amazing friends, and I'm working on getting the help I need to ensure mental success.

Adulthood is a bitch. But it is also fragile.
