Alright, first day of college classes is done!
I first started my day with some yoga at 6:30. Gee, they weren't playing about it being exercise. There were a lot of planks and other balancing exercises that I wasn't used to. Once you start exercising again, you can really tell you haven't done it in a while! I was huffing and puffing and trembling unfortunately. I wasn't the only one struggling though. I overheard some people talking about how they nearly fell as we wrapped up. I was super sweaty afterwards. I probably should've taken a shower! On the nicer side, the teacher was sweet, everyone was respectful, and the yoga studio has a really nice view of the city.
After yoga I chilled for a moment and got some free food! It was Chick-fil-A and I decided to eat it in the common room of my dorm. I might start calling it the uncommon room since I don't see many people in there unless there's an event. After breakfast I worked a little on some stuff for my online class and then headed to get some lunch in the building that I was going to have a class in. The line for lunch was pretty long, so I'm glad that I got there early, but I ended up staying in the building for an extra hour waiting for class to start. My calculus recitation class was fine, we reviewed some precal stuff, but the silence sometimes was deafening. After that, I went to the convenience store for some other stuff. I have now found myself in a new dilemma: what do I do between classes? It's just so weird; I have some time, but I don't want to go to my dorm because for me, it symbolizes the end of the day. It's so weird that you can just vibe anywhere on campus and be fine as long as the area isn't restricted.
After the convenience store, I eventually went to my history lecture. My history lecture is one of those kinds of lectures where there's a bunch of people crowded into a hall. It was also good; the professor went through the syllabus. However, the mic wasn't working well, and it resulted in the dreaded mic feedback sound (which I hate, and many others do too). After history, I went home. Normally though, I would have a lab, but they don't start until next week.
Lastly today, I went to another event. This time, it was a race with challenges that I (along with a group I was a part of) had to complete. It was fun, and there was free pizza. There was actually another event going on during the one I was at, but I was tired, so I chose to only go to one, even though they both overlapped.
In other news, I applied to a leadership program a couple days ago. I got an email today that I was selected for an interview. I was shocked. The application said nothing about an interview and on top of that, I have to dress business professional. I'm working on it, but currently I don't have any business professional attire. Oh well. I have over a week. Also, let's hope I get into the program. Oh, and one last thing: my interview is supposed to only last fifteen minutes. That's quite the decision these people are going to have to make...
Tomorrow, I have Cal I as my 8am. In addition, I have two other classes and I hope to catch an outdoor showing of "Up" tomorrow. Thumbs up for a good Thursday.
Boa noite,
