Story of my 2002 DELL RT7D20 Keyboard

Yea, i still use a 2002 keyboard. No it has never done me any wrongs. As a matter of fact it still feels like its made out of a rock; sturdy, reliable, easy to use. A keyboard can only be this good i believe. Absolutely crazy machine. They HONESTLY don't make 'em like they used to. Made out of high quality, black thick plastic, with a pcb made to last, and none of the markings have worn off either. The DELL logo still stands there, proud, showing how it's done. That ain't all either, i am currently writing this blog with the same keyboard. It writes like a beast, fully equipped and it responds in time. I have been using it since childhood, and nothing else gives the same feeling. It has big buttons, making sure my clumsy fingers never miss a letter.

It's 2002, my old man buys himself a pc for work, this keyboard, a CRT monitor and a DELL marked Logitech ball mouse. As a matter of fact, the CRT and the ball mouse still survive too, functioning without missing a beat. I am not even being planned yet. Anyways that PC case died in like 2 years or so. These things sat down for some time. Old man got married to my ma, I was born and pops bought a pc once again. The old parts again had a purpose. I was 4 then. Struck by the magic of computing, and internet not so after, that keyboard was my path of input since then. I learnt how to read using a school cd, played flash games with my old man. Discovered tons and tons of media all over internet, my first email, first facebook account. Tons of movies watched from cds. My first non-flash game was Counter Strike 1.6. I put maybe thousands of hours into video games. Made lots of game maps. Made lots of friends. I wrote all my study notes for high school, studied for the university exam. And i did it all thru this very keyboard. It never malfunctioned, never slipped, never complained. Unfortunately it is ps/2 connection, so i cannot use it in my newer computers. I am now going to the other side of motherland to study engineering in university, and i cannot take it with me. So i am passing it down to my little sister. Who knows how long will it keep going. Still working, still reliable. Thank you DELL for making this amazing machine. Thank you for reading.
