Daily Poetry/Short Stories

Every day, I'll write a little bit of poetry or short stories and update it here. My aim is mostly to improve my writing,and just for fun. Constructive criticism is appreciated! I'm also open to suggestions for what to write.

Day 1:

Onto the ride,

to home.

Where ever that is.

I follow the ride,

as it always knows where to go.

Never once questioning its rails,

as I've done this forever.

So I ride on,

into home.

Knowing that it's where I should go.

Tomorrow is another day,

a classic saying to soothe the day's pain away

But that's not what this is about.

Something is coming,

you know it's coming,

you know what it is.

There is nothing you can go about it.

You'll never really be ready for when it happens,

but it's not like you can stop it.

A roll of the dice,

a flip of a card,

and everything changes.

The flow unfolds,

as one folds in turn.

As the nothingness drones on,

and the black fades blacker,

I questioned what it really ment to live.
