Retelling movie plots

I hate it when you retell someone a plot of your favorite movie or just tell something you are really passionate about and their reaction is "Ahh okay,good".For example, I watched "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:Mutant Mayhem" today.And when I came home I retelled the plot to my mom.I added a lot of details in my story.I compared different parts of this movie to previous TMNT cartoons.I told her why certain parts of the film are special and how they reveal the characters.And her reaction was "Alright"...I know that she is not a fan of TMNT.But it steel feels kinda sad :(
