My music experience ‧₊˚♥︎♡

My first instrument was piano ! I started playing it at my grandma's house not really knowing anything but really being fascinated with it. I would invite my family to little "concerts" where I would play random notes that kind of sounded good... (￣▽￣*)ゞ

I continued piano for awhile doing lessons at the church my great grandparents went to. I had to stop though because the teacher (I think her name was melody, lol) was moving. 

My next instrument was violin for fifth grade strings (╥_╥) I'd like to think it was a universal experience that all children did this for the sillies and every. single. one. was awful. 

I was still in my I didn't want to play music loud phase and it sounded like shrill squeaking. let's just say I didn't do that again.... 

then i started playing drums summer of 2019 (〃＾▽＾〃).. i was taking drum lessons for snare and not drum set. I wasn't really confident and im still not,, but my mum was going to force me into a social activity and band was the most interesting option to me. 

that school year I enrolled into beginner band (AKA the most boring thing ever) I. hated. it. (°ㅂ°╬)

the whole thing was like "a note is.." "this is how you count". awful. At that point I already knew basic drumming and I had piano experience before hand. The whole thing was very boring until I got to high school (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

My freshman year was the covid year so I didn't really get to fully experience band 。゜゜(´Ｏ`) but I was in pit (basically where every freshman percussionist goes) playing the synthesizer. I got a lot of piano practice but it wasn't really "drumming" like i wanted and expected. 

The next year, sophomore year, I got bass drum 3 ! (out of 5) and I loved it! it was hard work but it really liked being able to dance and do drumming that wasny't really skill difficult. 

(ノ*°▽°*) don't get me wrong! bass drum is really technical,,, but when you do it for 3 years you don't think of it as difficult anymore... 

I feel like now I'm kind of done with band.. but ill defintely give it a try in college (ﾉ´ヮ`)ﾉ (aiming for not bass drum, i really want to get out of my comfort zone) 

If i don't do that, I'm for sure going to learn drumset. well,, I am going to either way, i guess it just changes when i'm going to learn it...
