bringing a chainsaw to prom and why you shouldnt do it

hiya! its everyones favourite earwig again (or least favourite, i cant tell from behind the screen~) and i’m here to talk about an invasive (or intrusive, i cant tell the difference) thought of mine.

chainsaws. a solid weapon against both wood and people. just ask any lumberjack or people whove seen chainsaw man or texas chainsaw massacre (im not one of those people btw) and youll know just how good they are at bringing an enemy down. in fact, everyones least favourite deep sea prisoner has drawn me with one! but thats besides the point.

you may be wondering “when will it start talking about prom? its literally in the subject!” and im here to tell you that will be happening right now.

im going into year 11 in september, thats 10th grade for you americans, or a sophomore. sophomore is a such a funny word! thats 1 too many Os… anyway, my school holds prom at the end of the year for year 11s and ive thought about just not going. why? loads of people i dont like would be there! years of harassment and issues built up and ultimately lead me to swearing off of prom. however… something sinister in the back of my head brought this thought to light: if i were to go, what would happen if i brought a chainsaw and announced that i didnt like a lot of people in the venue? what if i had blocked all possible exits before bringing them down one by one? wouldnt that be a fun way to get revenge?

no, and heres why:

thats illegal, its against the law and i will certainly get arrested and be put on the news. thats the biggest and most obvious reason, everyone knows it, thats why the idea is intrusive. there are other reasons though. it would be a tedious process to hide the chainsaw and block all the exits, especially since it would be a one bug job! youre not allowed to bring anything suspicious either, thats a clear given. 

so why think about it in the first place? i cant help it. its a raging revenge fantasy on everyone who dared to cross me, but as stated in a previous blog post: i cant even punch someone since i feel so bad about hurting people. ive had quite a few revenge fantasies before, but i know how bad AND tedious they would be to carry out.

so to conclude, dont bring a chainsaw to prom~☆

edit: just as a little postscript, i don’t even own a chainsaw!
