Every week on Friday I will post a cool animal fact
Bowhead whales are baleen whales that live in the arctic waters. Since they are whales, and one of the largest animals ever, they eat a lot! They have to eat around 1.8 tons (~900 kg) of small plankton and other small critters every day!! Additionally, whales are mammals, so they have to breathe air. Whales shoot water out of their blowholes so they can breathe, and the bowhead whale can shoot water 20 feet (~6 m) in the air!
What animal should I talk about next? Comment below :)
