Sonadow Fans are Getting Too Bold

I'm going to be honest, I really dislike sonadow in a canon context. I think there are really incredible sonadow fanworks out there but I never want sonadow to be canon. This argument has been made already but I agree that you have to stretch the limits of Sonic or Shadow's character in order for it to work, if not write them out of character entirely! This rant is mostly spurned on by Prime's pretty blatant sonadow pandering, alongside IDW's sonadow bait in the past. 

Despite the "everything is canon" argument (which are you really going by the word of a PR account when US and JPN interpretations of the characters are different even today ie. Frontiers script???) you have to argue that the prime!Sonic is his own separate character... you can't tell me prime!Sonic acts the same way as game!Sonic seriously..., but people are using Prime as an excuse to say sonadow is canon in all contexts and that just isn't true??? If you think that Sonic will ever be in a relationship in canon you have a fundamental misunderstanding of his character, and I say that as someone who ships Sonic with everything that moves....

Sonadow isn't even the issue here what frustrates me is that there are people actually believing/pushing for sonadow to be canon and frankly haven't their characters been butchered by canon enough lately.

Anyway writing this out is making myself cringe and I could go on but TL;DR the canon sonadow bait + people pushing for canon sonadow is lame and directly contributes to the flanderization of their characters in the last decade and really sonic shipping in general should be in fanworks only 

(but this is my opinion on my personal blog I'm not legit hating because I can just turn the computer off and play SA2 instead ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ)
