meg's crappy schoolwork tips for fellow ipad kids with absolutely miniscule attention spans

✦ okay so first and foremost, take this with a grain of salt cuz we all do perform better with different methods and whatnot, so u shouldnt like, feel obligated to follow EVERYTHING i say word for word. i'm just an ipad kid trying to help other ipad kids with terrible attention spans like me with schoolwork!

✦ anyways, music... personally i listen to music without lyrics and stuff like that since listening to music WITH lyrics tends to hinder my writing speed and it also leads to me making lots of mistakes (ESPECIALLY when taking notes). i also stick with songs that aren't too overstimulating or loud

✦ if you're being forced to read a boring ass book you couldn't care less about, then here's what i recommend: find an audiobook (or copy and paste a PDF of said book into a text to speech bot) and have it play in the background while you're doing something, like playing roblox obbies, or drawing (from personal experience!)

✦ whenever you feel like you can't take in any more information, TAKE A BREAK!!! i cannot stress this enough, it is so much better to do lots of little work sessions instead of a few huge ones. why? cuz since you're looking at the material more often, it's easier for you to put the pieces together and remember where you left off (this is SUCH a basic tip i know, but i have like the SHITTIEST work ethic ever lol, i learned this so much later than i should have cuz i was the BIGGEST slacker xD)

✦ don't be afraid to look shit up!! the internet's there for a reason, so take advantage of its resources!! it doesn't matter if you think you're going to look stupid cuz it's not like anyone's going to give a crap about your search history or anything like that! why else would people upload tutorials and advice if nobody's going to look them up?

✦ sprinkle stuff from your interests into the mix, like, if you're doing those long ass word problems in math for example? just replace the names with the characters you like! this is like... really specific, but it works for me soooo!

✦ have some buddies with u, whether it's in person or on a call. i just work better whenever i'm with a friend. it doesn't have to be the both of us studying together, like i just have an easier time getting shit done whenever my friends are nearby!
