As an asian person, I have a genuine hatred rcta ppl. I have never wanted to tell ppl to jump off a bridge more than when I see ‘transracial’ and ‘rcta’ ppl.
As a filipino in America(🇺🇸), it is so difficult to just live without being treated weirdly. I’m mixed, too. So it’s even harder for me to find a place to feel like I belong.
It makes me so fucking angry that (mostly) white teenagers are taking my very real struggles and acting like it’s some kind of aesthetic. I genuinely hope these ppl get some serious mental help or just die.
And I know that’s like super mean but I’m kind of at a point where I don’t care. My whole life I have been treated like shit for being Asian. Even to this day ppl I know are making horribly racist ‘jokes.’ I’m sick and tired of ppl disrespecting me, my culture, and my family. Why don’t y’all try living in a fucking hut in the Philippines with barely enough shit to live.
There is a very obvious line between wanting to be part of a culture and ‘rcta’, ‘transracial’.
If you want to be part of a culture, find someone who is part of that culture or do research. Ppl I’m that culture will like that you want to be part of it. Like there is a sense of pride in it when someone asks about my culture.
Don’t do this fucking rcta and transracial bullshit. It’s fucking disrespectful and creepy. I don’t care what anyone tries to argue, rcta and transracial aren’t valid and if you think it’s okay, pls go outside. Get a job. Tell ur mom you love her. Your grandpa misses you.

i'm so sorry that you and many other asian ppl in general have to go through that. i've never met a "transracial" person irl, just online so hopefully it stays that way and they don't go harass ppl irl too.. as someone who is embraces their culture, i believe culture should be shared in a sense of appreciation, not appropriation. nothing gets under my skin more than ppl taking out their insecurities on other races and cultures just bc they get bored and decide their culture isn't good enough. i hope ur doing okay btw :]
also feel like when it comes to ppl discussing topics of racism and how it's bad, indian and asian ppl aren't talked about as much, but maybe that's just my opinion :p

Agreed. I think ppl forget India is apart of Asia,, as well as a lot of Asian countries. It’s like ppl see Asia as Japan, Korea, and china only. It’s rlly annoying

i thought that was like . common sense but the most i think about how asian people are mistreated in society and seen as like otherworldly beings that should belong in a box and non-asian people can just "enter" that box as they please without the wrongs we suffer . i, myself, was wronged yesterday - people told me i should bring sushi for everyone @ my class just because im half-japanese, like?
It’s literally so disrespectful. I really feel for you though. I’m lucky that Filipinos don’t have massive ‘fandoms’ like Japanese ppl do. It’s tough for me to deal with the fetishized on Filipinos, I can imagine it’s much worse as a Japanese person

i think it must be though for u as a filipino person too, because u can suffer so much racism and backlash for being from a small developing country.. but for these racist people we are all the same lol its just so tiring
