hiiiiii, i'm tired as hell rn- BUT i wanted to make this entry about the 2014 horror film "tusk" and give it my honest rating and opinion on the film. spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't watched it yet and have been planning to watch it at some point in time.

tusk, 2014 horror film directed & written by kevin smith ( some of the cast members also helped with script writing )

the movie begins with our main character wallace bryton and somewhat also main but not a main character teddy, these two have a podcast that goes under a stupid name "not see party" which is so dumb???? but, y'know, anyway- walkace wants the podcast to go viral, fund's a video of this kid in canada cutting off his own leg when trying to perform a trick with a katakana, and then wallace decides to go to canada to interview the kid to only find out he died shortly after the incident. now, i just want it to be clear that wallace's whole role is to just be a complete duche bag, so, he gets upset that the kid died 'cause uh oh, that means your podcast can't go viral.

anyway, then he goes to the bathroom and finds a not on the wall that this old guy wrote and then wallace is basically like "oh!! this'll be a great opportunity to not have this trip be a complete waste of money!! i can travel to this old guy's home and listen to the stories he has to tell!!" dumb white boy mistake.

anyway, things get intense..... there is truly never a dull moment in it, which proved to benefit the film but also is what brought upon its downfall. now, i'm not saying thus made the movie unbearable to watch, no, i'm trying to say this made the film so confusing at times- like a random jump to a s*x scene after our main character, wallace, is drugged by an old man and passes out.

BUT‼️ the costume design????? for when wallace gets turned into a walrus???????? and the surgical scene???? so fucking cool imo

acting was alright, it's a good film to watch with friends and family, i watched it with my sister.

was it scary? no, not really, just disturbing and weird sometimes. so, bareable for a 2014 film. 8/10
