Would I leave Discord for MSN Messenger resurrection? Definitely

Looking back brings so much nostalgia and melancholy. It's sad to remember that Nintendo eShop, Google+, MSN Messenger and other legends are no longer available.

Nina and Escargot are around the corner and honestly? It's fantastic. Resurrecting the best is like a miracle: the chance of enjoying what once was. I personally didn't have the chance of messaging friends via MSN Messenger (favorite), but with Escargot I did.

IMPORTANT: I'm not promoting or anything!!

And would I leave Discord for the old & expired MSN Messenger? Yes. Of course, I wouldn't screen share, add reactions, make activities with the mates or make new and organized channels, but the shady business is sometimes too much. The subscription thing to only make your profile more appealing, the ability to send personalized emojis and sending big files? Just, why? It isn't ANYTHING extraterrestrial, but it's kinda... absurd.

Should we mention the amount of degenerate people that are in there? Just enter to a big server and there's a fat chance a weirdo will slide into your DMs or be witness of a shit spectacle. (Fucking Amino successor)

And I would love that the people would move to spacehey or something. Thing is more appealing, more customizable, and you can do more things and (kinda) leave your guard down.

Discord removed the legendary tag to just be another social media (just like Twitter!!) and man.

It might sound like what a madman would say, but sometimes I wish people would use Escargot more than the basic gaming & free chat Steam copy. It can be very dangerous with the bots thing, malicious files and server raids. On Escargot it's just you and the other person from the end of the line. Yes, the danger is still there, but not always.

About the replacement: Skype is shit. I don't know how the old Skype was, but the Skype I knew and know is slow and basic as shit.

Also, on Discord you can become a different person. Put on a mask, change the way of talking and boom, you're the person on the internet. But, at the end of the day, you are not the same person outside the monitor, on the real world. With the MSN Messenger people know who you are because they met you on the outside world. But nowadays you can become anything you please.

This might be a rambling of a crazed and nostalgic person, but shit, man... rejecting modernity and embracing tradition is like a fullfillment to me.

P.S. It might be obvious but now, but my favorite figures are the internet angel kangel and lain

I feel you, buddy.
Let's not forget that the early 2000s had the best UI and not the basic lifeless colors.
But I guess the best we can do is tolerate and cherish the golden memories...

oh yeah, the ""aesthetic"" (hate that word) of the 2000s and the first half the 2010s is unbeatable
