I don’t think I can stay here at my dad’s for long. It’s become apparent that my adoptive grandfather (my dad was an orphan) sees me as a maid of sorts. I know he’s being lazy and I know he’s playing ignorant. He drops trash on the floor and he claims he doesn’t know how to operate the sink or anything. I wouldn’t make a good caretaker, and that isn’t why I’m here anyways. Sure he’s old and maybe he’s getting senile, but I feel like he’s cognitive enough to know what he’s doing. Old people like to hide behind a mask in my experience.
When my dad comes back and brings along my baby half brother, things are going to get extra annoying. I can imagine him bursting into my room while I’m not looking and grabbing the funny looking red-hot soldering iron in my workspace.
