Vice Versa issue 1

so i was reading this book (Lavender Lists: New Lists a\About Lesbian and Gay Culture, History, and Personalities by Lynne Yamaguchi Fletcher and Adrien Saks) and it mentions a magazine called VICE VERSA

VICE VERSA was the first American publication made by and for lesbians. it was started in 1947 by one woman, Edythe Eyde, under the pseudonym Lisa Ben (an anagram of lesbian). it ran for nine issues and had poetry, short stories, reviews of queer plays, books, and films, and a bibliography of novels for lesbians

obviously, this is a significant part of queer history, at least in America, and it seemed really interesting. so i found it.

here is the first issue. i'll post the others in their own blog entries for coherency

and that's the first issue! if you know of any cool queer history facts or resources, plz share them :) i'm always looking for more pieces of history
