Why are all the blogs just dragging people or the platform?? Also what do I categorize my nerdĀ shit into?? Anyway thought I'd share some cool theories about black holes or something.Ā
Black holes that we can observe today, form very slowly due to their long lasting event horizons. The matter orbits in such a tight spiral it takes ages to finally get to the center. That means that the (theoretical) supermassive black holes (that's actually what their called :/ ) holding galaxies together, shouldn't exist. They are just too big for their age. If they've been growing since the beginning of the universe they'd be as big as any other black hole. Not the 6 billion solar mass giants, that we can observe in galaxies a few million light-years away. What some scientists theorize made them, was a phenomena called a Quasi-Star. These stars would have formed in the still dense hydrogen clouds, not diluted or thinned by new stars yet. When a star is born, the force it exudes when it stabilizes usually blows away the cloud it was born in. However Quasi-Stars are theorized to be formed in such dense clouds that the blast didn't push the remaining hydrogen away. Leaving the star to feed on the clouds of matter. As the star grows, it's core becomes denser than the nuclear fusion can resist, resulting in a star with a black hole for a heart. The star will continue to grow with the cloud until there's no more matter for it to eat, the core will start slowly killing the star from the inside out. Again event horizons are long, but once there isn't enough atoms to ram into each other, the nuclear fusion becomes ineffective at keeping the star from especially going supernova. The star implodes, causing another huge explosion. Pushing any remaining matter away from the now massive black hole. The intense gravitational pull of a black hole of this size is almost unimaginable. Keeping entire galaxies in a spiral motion, creating the pockets of empty spaces of dark matter that makes up 80% of the observable universe.Ā
Freaking love space. Now something that makes my head spin is the observable universe. How far back in time we can see with the travel of the light to out planet, makes me excited and sick at the same time. Can't wait till we get smart enough to travel light-years at a time. I wanna see the gravesĀ of my favorite nebulas.
If you don't wanna read my rambling but are still interested in learning about stuff here's a video that explains it pretty well, it also has cute animations!Ā Enjoy :D
