I often wonder: what is the real potential of an individual? How do we, as a collective, utilize the potential we have inside ourselves? There are often discussions about how terrible education systems are at really unlocking young people’s potential. I don’t think we can create the perfect system for this—resources are too limited, and politics get in the way.
I’d say we look at knowledge as too much of a binary thing. For example, math is often approached as if you’re either great at it or terrible at it. Why can’t we recognize that people can be good at certain elements of it? I’m not sure why, and while I don’t have a real conclusion, I do think we need to rethink certain things.
Thank you for reading.

totally agree with this: there’s a reason researchers are always specialized in specific subfields and often work on few projects all their life. subjects are really vast within themselves, topics of the same subject can require different understanding, interests or memory!!
