hi there! i’ve always really liked journaling and writing about how things have been for myself, so i’m deciding to do that here on spacehey! it won’t be anything inherently negative, mostly because i’m trying to focus on the more positive things going on in my life. :B

i’m looking forward to starting freshman year! my first day of school is august 21st and it’s not fully confirmed if i’m actually going to the highschool i applied for.. but i have some high hopes for getting into it! i’m still on the waitlist for the acceptance lottery and i’m hoping my position is slowly moving up. :) i’m going to an art focused highschool which is something i’m also really looking forward to. last year for 8th grade i did online school, which isn’t the best for my learning.. so hard to pay attention. i think actually being in a classroom and a school building enivornment will be a lot better for me than learning at home. :B

i’m getting a haircut today, too! my hairs gotten pretty long over the past few months. it’s to the point my bangs are falling past my eyes and falling right past my shoulders, so i really am long overdue for one. i usually get my dad or my nanna to cut my hair for me or i do it myself, but this time around i’m getting it cut by these people at this organized event for the local school district! it’s supposed to be held at this convention center downtown and they’re providing free food and school supplies on top of that. i still don’t know what exactly i’m wanting to do with it, though! possibilities are endless, i guess? haha! :D

i’m going thrifting, too! i’ve already had some good luck at my local secondhand shop with a classing teenage mutant ninja turtles shirt and a 1986 ecto-1 toy! it’s one of my favorite things in my small but growing ghostbusters collection for right now! i’m hoping i have some good enough luck this time around as well. i have to load up on the khakis, cargo shorts, button ups, and goofy tees for the school year after all! it’s like my signature look, haha.

anyways, that’s all i have to say right now. that was just like a big stream of conciousness into writing, i think just letting this all out is making me feel a little less stressed about some of the stuff that’s been weighing on me recently. i think i’ll be able to go to bed soon, too.. it’s like 2:41 am right about now!
