Isn't Me

In the depth of her teenage years she resides,

A girl with dreams and hopes, yet she hides.

She's been through lessons, learned them well,

But now she craves a moment to dwell.

Tired of waiting, tired of the same,

Patience preached, but it fuels her flame.

She yearns to give up, to let go,

To escape the pressures that follow.

Seeking solace in her own company,

She rejects advice and reasons blindly.

For in this moment of uncertainty,

She longs for freedom and tranquility.

No more trying, no more fighting,

She wants to break free from this binding.

Good advice won't suffice anymore,

She just wants to be not okay, for sure,

She's too mature.
