My New York trip is finally here I love getting away from home

My mom and I usually go to New York pretty frequently to see family but after quarantine it's been pretty long since we got the opportunity and now we're finally here for the week. The place I live doesn't have a lot of activities for anyone under 21, if you can't drink it's mostly just like small parks or hiking trails or I guess the mall if you have money but I don't have a job yet. I'm also not a nature person so being outside just to be outside isn't fun for me unless I'm hanging out with people I like and the only friend I have is in a different country so there's not much to do. I have managed to find some fun in exercise but even so being in a new environment for a little is the best I get so bored of home sometimes. We're gonna do an escape room I think and omg I LOVE escape rooms so much! I was thrilled to find out that there was an escape room place opened close to home but then we did all of the rooms and now there's nothing to do there lol. Very excited for the escape room here. We also went to the Museum of Sex today. When I checked the google doc my mom sent me with a makeshift itinerary she made I was not expecting to see "Museum of Sex" and I was soooo confused. It was absolutely the coolest museum I've ever been to and I'm really glad my mom found out about it cuz I'd never heard of it. It gave a really good timeline of the history of sexuality and the psychology behind how sexuality has been thought of and how it's affected social movements and laws. The visuals of the art were SO pretty and it took over the entire setting like everything around you was art, it even incorporated music and the smell of the room in one part of the exhibit. I also really like interactive museums, half way through the experience there were a lot of on theme games and prizes and it was so sick. Then the museum ended in a sex shop because museums usually end in gift shops related to what the museum is about. There seem to be a lot of immersive art experiences here, I keep getting ads for them and I found one that looked super cool and my mom said we could check it out on one of the days. It's called Color Factory and it's like a big art playground with photo ops, sweets, activities for creating art, and just messing in a fun environment each based on a color. I saw on the website they got this big ass ball pit with a slide like that's so awesome I've never been in a ball pit and I've really wanted to because it seems so fun but I can't go in any old ball pit because it's for little kids and I'm no longer little and also kids are disgusting and they probably piss in the ball pit. This experience technically allows kids but it's primarily targeted at adults so the ball pit will be clean and I will be allowed in it and I'm freakin excited.
