We all may be familiar with games like Club Penguin, Habbo Hotel, IMVU, Second Life, Worlds, Neopets and the list goes on...
But we're wondering, what made you play these games, and what made them appealing to you?
Is it the customization, the chat function, the minigames, or perhaps even something else?
And the most important question: If you were to play one today, then what do you wish to see the most?

i played all of those. some for a long time, and some for a week. stuck with fantage, imvu, and msp the longest. i think it was also the customization and the chat function. was able to make long lasting friends that understood me and i therefore valued more than my friends at school. also didn't get permission to hang out with anyone, ever, until i was 15. so most of my days afterschool and during holidays were spent on these games. i'd want to see activity on them. so much activity that you could walk up and meet someone new within an hour. i don't go on them nearly as often, but i notice these days people prefer to be by themselves or stay within a group.

I don't really play this type of games a lot anymore, but when I was a kid my classmates and I would just flood the school library to play club penguin with each other. We could easily just play any recess game, but we all prefered club penguin. I think these games just have the charm of being a totally different world with new types of animals and stuff kids like to explore! Also, in those games, you could do almost what you wanted to do to explore the map and interact with the other people in the server, something that kids can't do in the real world.
