state of spacehey

I think what sets this apart from all current gen social media is the absence of the quality of life changes we've had.
I actually have to think about what to say. There's no, like button, no thumbs up. If you have something to say or feel like replying you have to take initiative. Also, the lack of RL people I know on here forces me out of this shell I've made during the pandemic.

Now, with that being said you could always do that on current socials.
But the magic of this site in particular brings back those old emotions of typing everything out, refreshing a page instead of an instant notification. It just feels I'm like visiting a pocket in time where I would randomly add people, make conversation and feel more connected than I am right now.

Anyways, have a good night. I'm looking forward to talking to you all.

Yeah, the convenience of modern socials kills the vibe a bit

doesn't it? but the convenience is necessary at times, so I guess the trade-off is worth it to those who like surface level situations.
or it could be the case where you get what you put in.
