my favorite things about the chronically online

- people who have things people enjoy in their dni lists (omori, homestuck, etc, and yes, this includes dsmp) i hate sooo many fandoms as much as the next person, but y'all are so funny to me like no amount of trauma should have you outwardly excluding people just because they like something, regardless of if that thing was made by an awful person... "but the fandom gives me trauma :(" me when i victimize myself over something that is never that serious, literally most fandoms are cesspools of sewage get over it or get off the internet. literally just don't interact. dni lists, at least to me, are to set boundaries up so scummy people that don't deserve a platform fuck off. its just so funny seeing ignorant dream fans sitting right above actual bigots... but maybe thats controversial or something...

- people who have hardcore idolization problems. for example, if you like doja cat or melanie martinez's music, i don't give a shit, but can y'all stop pretending they're completely exempt from taking accountability for the awful shit they've done/continue to do??? melanie martinez has admitted to raping timothy heller, and fans continue to harass the victim whilst trying to deny it ever happened. it gives me the fucking creeps and the people who do that, which is an alarming amount of people, are so fucking annoying to argue with because they're just so seemingly brainwashed. consent is when everyone involved says YES. consent is NOT a lack of response. it's really not that fucking difficult to understand. also if you think this is a direct contradiction to what i said before you're just too peabrained to understand easily comprehendable nuance and i'm not going to explain to you how it isn't

- [hottest take of the century incoming] i know this is mostly children but people who take self dxing wayyy too seriously. y'all i know you can't go see a real professional i'm poor and i can't either but are u rlly going to straight up just completely ignore self-bias?? yeah it sucks not knowing what's wrong with you but it sucks even more to be completely misinformed WHILST spreading misinformation yourself. you aren't a professional, you aren't able to accurately look at yourself from the outside in, that is what having another person there is for. i totally wish human beings were emotionally mature enough to pinpoint exactly how their own brain is different, but they aren't. and for the record, i'm soo not against clinging onto a specific disorder and identifying with it, but if you use your self diagnosis to tell people "hey, this specific symptom means this" or "you don't have this because you don't have this symptom," you are blatantly doing more harm than good. extensive research on the internet does NOT compare to four years of actual education.

thats all
