new futurama drabble (with gifs!)

   alright so..... the new futurama episode? 

   entirely my thoughts bender. it was boring, and cmon, an nft joke? the entire futurama staff combined has more than 50 years at harvard put together, surely they have the brain power to come up with better jokes... although they only retained about 75% of the original crew. the joke must've been a rookie mistake

   the nonbinary joke played off pretty well though. jokes like that are always weird because they're usually negative, but it was hard to get a read on their stance with this one. i hope they learned from the "bend-her" episode, and the ecofeminist antagonists thing they had going on in season 6, even if it did somewhat fit. still felt like a repetitive republican joke you'd see on facebook though

   aside from those, the plot was... mediocre. its a futurama reboot episode though, so of course they had to spend it making fun of their network. the actors and the animation and the style are all the same though, and i'm glad they didn't change a bit. i hope leela's actor is okay though, her voice sounded strained

   i just hope futurama stays futurama and doesn't fall into the bad current events/political joke rabbit hole so many revivals seem to be victim to these days. r.i.p animaniacs/hj

   it was a shaky first episode, but i'm still ecstatic to see what else they have to offer :) the second episode is supposed to be a continuation from an older episode, which is very promising. futurama has yet to disappoint me! futurama ftw!!
