Why is 17 the weirdest age to be? We all dream of being 15, 16, and 18, but we never dream of being 17, why? When I turned 17 I was actually excited, mainly because I was the youngest of all my friends and still couldn't drive past 11PM; I was excited for all the fun teenage girl moments that I would be able to reminisce in later in life. But, as time goes on, I realize how weird of an age it is, at least for me. I start college next month and won't be 18 until next year, this means that I won't be able to even look inside a bar (unless I'm just going in for some fish and chips) or club. Social su!c!d3? Maybe, maybe not. I also feel like I'd be out of place or put to the side since I still have a driving curfew, even if it's 1AM (which I think at least is a reasonable driving curfew). Besides that, I've been enjoying my state-mandated 30min breaks every 3-4 hours at work for the past 2 years, but the second I turn 18 they just vanish. When I turn 18 I can't ignore the fact that taxes are an actual real thing and not silly little numbers on paper.
Being 17 is so weird.
