Guess I'll make a little personal blog now that I'm getting more into how this site works. It's a nice little break to play on this site.
Me and my husband recently bought my mom's old house. You'd think it'd feel weirder living in my childhood home. But it really doesn't. It's comforting in a way. I'm already aware of how this old house is (it's a house from the 50s so safe to say, old as shit).
We've been making good progress with unpacking since we've moved in, with work and all. This house is smaller than the one we were renting so it kinda feels like Tetris. Like, to get this over here I have to unpack this, but then to unpack this -I should do this box and so on, and so on.
It's nice having your own place all to yourself. No one to respond to, not that we'll go destroying the house. But it's freeing in a way.
Until I get that first mortgage payment. Then I may not feel the same lol.

Good luck to unpack all your packages! Also living in your childhood house has to be such a strange comforting feeling. I hope you feel like home there :)
Thank you! It truly does. It's that mixture of childhood nostalgia while disconnected cause now it's under my control with my things from years later lol
