experienced this through the kid capes audiobook version on youtube (youtu.be/NLsewc4h9yo)! was an excellent performance by those involved, listened to it while i was at work over the course of a night and a half
as for the book
itself, it was very interesting to see the roots of what would become
the megaten franchise at large. the pacing was kinda quick at some
parts, admittedly, but it wasnt particularly bad. i like nakajima as our
little shit protagonist but i wish yumiko had more development to her,
her relationship with nakajima felt more like a "but thou must" as
opposed to something natural, which on one hand i get given what the two
characters end up being but idk i still wish there was more there. shit
also gets surprisingly graphic at parts both in regards to
gore and also in regards to sex. lots of pulsating and undulating fleshy
masses going on. if the other novels get a similar audiobook treatment
ill check them out for sure, or idk maybe ill just hunker down and read
the others on my own eventually
