Incoming Week-long Dogsitting Adventure

Been a while since I posted a blog. Because I haven't had much to blog about.

But tomorrow I am leaving to go stay at my MIL's and dogsit for a week while they're on vacation. I'll be all alone. It will be the longest time that I've spent apart from my partner in several years.

Hopefully I won't be too bored. I'm just straight up bringing my PC so I'll be able to digitally draw and play video games.

My brain fog has been pretty bad lately. Maybe a change of location will help me?

I think that's all I have to say about that.

Have you seen the Artfight... scandal, I guess? Very weird. Takaia allegedly embezzled donation money, and seemingly even admitted to it, but no one really seems to care. She stepped down. So, I dunno. I don't think anyone cares enough for legal action to occur.

I saw Featured Character offered as an alternative. It seems interesting. The community is nice and actually responds to people.

Oh yeah, speaking of discord communities. I made a discord server. It's an 18+ worldbuilding/specbio server. Though I'm kinda the only one into specbio. I hope that the community there is comfortable feeling. I hope that I am a good server owner, even if I am off-putting.

It's hard to embrace who you are when who you are is grating and blunt. I wish I knew more people like me. But perhaps I should resign myself to many acquaintances and few close friends. I do not want to change myself to be more palatable. I'm still so young. I'm turning 24 soon, I'll find my place in the world eventually I'm sure.

Hm. what else. Oh yeah, one of my writing pieces got taken down from FurAffinity for being "ai generated."

It was not ai generated. Blatantly so. If you're not an idiot, you would look into what AI generated writing looks like. Mine does not look that way. One of the characters in that writing was an artificial intelligence robot sorta-thing. Like, HAL 9000?

I think mentioning that I was inspired by ChatGPT was my downfall. These people who are blindly anti-AI hear inspiration and think I must be a class traitor because I... God forbid... Looked at AI chatbots to figure out how my AI chatbot character would speak. I just put it on my website so whatever. I sent in several screenshots of my google docs version history to show all my hand-writing and little edits but it's been a few days, I don't think I'm being responded to for a reason.

I was thinking of writing something about anti-AI sentiment and the lack of nuance in everyone's reactionary frothing hatred of the new while making appeals to tradition and how you can rightfully ban ai images from your art websites without also threatening someone for using image upscalers (Inkblot) or deleting artwork that takes inspiration from AI (FurAffinity.)

Oh well. I should resume packing again, perhaps. I don't want to leave people off on a sour note. I downloaded Destroy All Humans on my pc to play when I'm alone. I had that game on the... Xbox, I think? And I played it so much when I was young. Definitely not appropriate. But now I'm an adult and I get all the innuendo and political commentary, so it's even more enjoyable now.
