Full Circle

I've been thinking about what it means to go back full circle to our humble beginnings on the internet. While the younger generation romanticizes a lot of what they weren't around for, I think myself and a few friends would agree that it wasn't the best time. While my decision to create this profile is in itself a romanticization of a simpler time, I am by no means erasing or dismissing the ~trauma~ that sites like these caused for many people.

I think it's amazing to go back to a simpler time, to feel like the world isn't as shitty as it is. I think the best part of this though, is the knowledge that so many of us are coming back with. I have QUEER in my about me. My younger self was still struggling with her sexuality and identity and would have disappeared if it was on her page. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am thankful to have gotten so far in my life, to have experienced the internet in a very unique way, and to be able to do it again.

Here's to being able to go home again.
