mrblsktz and the parker-watson trope (pt. 1)

Whenever I think of mrblsktz (marble-skates, the ship name between my two ocs, Magus and Agnis), I always default to Magus' perspective whenever I imagine scenarios for them. For context, Agnis came first before Magus. They were my OC for an RP group that I eventually took them out of to develop on my own. Magus was Agnis' Magician Arcana in that plot's setting (yes, based on the major arcana tarot).

Anyway, despite Agnis being first than Magus, it's been one year since I've been brainrotting about them yet I more often than not see their relationship through Magus' eyes. I think it's partly because I somehow project myself more onto them. They've got the same humour as I do, same energeticness when with the right people, and most certainly the chaoticness that they always need to conceal. And Agnis?

Agnis is about as free as wherever their rollerskates take them. They're laid-back and prefer to let others take the lead, which is a factoid about me that I've imparted onto my little rollerskater guy. Though, that's about the only thing I relate to when it comes to Agnis which is why it's so easy for me to slip into Magus' view whenever I daydream.

But then one day, while I was in the shower, I suddenly thought: What if Agnis was Peter Parker and Magus was their MJ this time around? Y'know, since I've been thinking about Spiderverse recently. Before I came around to asking myself that question, I first thought about it the other way around. And to be honest, it didn't quite fit.

Magus has always been that main character who I've always been rooting for. And so imagining them taking the role of Peter Parker in their little mrblsktz spiderverse world, I think, would be fitting them into that same old mold again. In their original story that I wrote, Agnis gets into a life-threatening situation that could've been prevented had Magus done things differently. It's the same for this spiderverse idea, essentially. It was always about Magus' feelings for Agnis. What about the opposite?

I've decided that I'm tired of giving Magus the short-end of the stick. You know the hurt and comfort trope? Time for some comfort, Magus; I want Agnis to feel the hurt this time :-]
