So, today I went to my dentist appointment and I noticed that there was a kids room (it's in the very back of the office, so it's not something that you would really notice that it was there) and I went to check it out. Well, it had painted walls, LED light strips that change colors, drawing materials, plusies, there was even a classic NES vibing there! And the adults waiting room was just a plain white room with some chairs and a broken TV.
it makes sense for the adults room not have a console and plushies, but why are they so lifeless? Why does it feel like they're just numb empty white rooms with a reception? They just feel... dead. Where's the fun in that? Or where's the soul in that? These places are so empty to the point that I looked to a sky painted light in the kids waiting room for around 15 minutes!
This is also why I'm not really fond of hospitals. I'm not afraid of the machines, or the doctors, or nurses... They're usually really nice. But the space itself feels dead and souless. And that rubs me the wrong way.
So, is that something fixable? Am I just, I don't know, weird? I also ask myself if I'm the only one that feels this way... Guess you can tell me in the comments.
TL:DR: Adult waiting rooms feel dead and I don't like that.
