so for school and stuff like that im looking for scene/emo stuff and i dont really know where to look. since im on a tight budget i cant really go in hot topic.. i also was wondering what to look for like keywords when i am looking for scene/emo stuff.
Where could i find emo/scene items?

depends what type of emo/scene you’re looking for, if you’re looking for the average scene kid then all you need is some cool hair, some tank tops or graphic tees, and some skinny jeans, shorts, tutus, or miniskirts, and then ofc lots of accessories that you can find at thrift stores, charity shops, £1/1$ shops, and basically any jewellery place, i’d recommend bangles, rubber bracelets, and maybe beaded bracelets but the kandi is more for the other type that i’ll talk about in a second, and big pendant necklaces and beaded necklaces are useful as well. that type of scene is more like a classic 2000s slightly edgy style, whereas there’s also the more neon and black part which is more common in the later versions, and in the more dramatic of the scene kids, for this the tutus are more common, full sleeves of homemade kandi, bright neon hair, very colourful graphic shirts which are easily found in kids sections, and all in all bright clothes, you may also wanna get a studded belt from hot topic if you’re going for that style, whereas any kind of rhinestone belt from a thrift store would work for the previous style

oh ye also the whole thing behind scene is supposed to be very random so you can also mix in just about anything but a funky hairstyle is the most important

cool!! also make sure the top layer isn’t only 1cm short cos i accidentally cut my hair too short and if the wind blows the wrong way it sticks up and i look like a strawberry ;-;

ye i think i saw a video from a scene kid who said they often did that!! i also don’t wear jeans altho i’m not scene in specific, cos like i don’t rlly like labels but i take a lot of inspo from the subculture and love their music and everything, but atm i take more inspo from mcbling fashion so i wear a lot of denim mini skirts or poofy mini skirts which are more inspired by the scene subculture, and like again the main thing was being random and unique and doing what you want so like most parts can be replaced, although i would say don’t call yourself scene without some semblance of the hair otherwise you’ll be a poser
