of squirrels and demons ...φ(．． )ﾒﾓﾒﾓ

HELLO!! Selamat malam! こんばんはー The zoo blog is coming soon, I really have to get myself pumped to write it though..　(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و 　So, let me tell you about the day after that instead ...

I was kind of nervous, actually - because I forgot I agreed to meet with a friend the day after I was running around the zoo on my own all day. ( ꒪⌓꒪) I mean, it was exciting, but.. I wanted to swim in the pool and rest all day, not walk more... And since I hadn't seen that friend in a while, I was getting really nervous!! It was seriously the worst!! (｡ì _ í｡)

So, we decided we'd meet up at a park that was close to my hotel... but, it's also right next to the zoo!! You can walk to the park from the zoo!!! I can hardly call it a 'park', though, it's more like, a giant plaza.. there's lots of huge museums and culture centers, it's really amazing.. and easy to get lost. :;(∩´﹏`∩);:

Before I got to the park, though, I had to walk through the zoo.. (I kind of wish I could've stayed there all day..) There was a giant Power dekafumo I got at the con a few days before, so I brought her with me to show my friend.. but, she didn't fit in my bag, so I had to carry her in my arms the whole time. (＾ω＾;;) Anyways, I was passing through the zoo entrance, and there was.. a class of middle schoolers all lined up, taking a class picture. I stopped for a second to get my belongings together, I didn't think to mind them until I started hearing voices pierce the air..

"POWER!!!!!!!!!"

I looked up.. now, the whole class wasn't pointing and yelling .. but, so many kids were getting excited and yelling across the plaza at me. ━━(￣ー￣*|||━━ IT WAS REALLY CUTE, BUT, THAT'S SERIOUSLY TERRIFYING.. here she is observing the lush wildlife, moments before being attacked by paparazzi..

Afterwards, I went to go find my friend in a hurry since I was already late, but, my wifi was seriously so terrible. ヽ(￣д￣;)ノ=3=3=3 For some reason, there's absolutely no wifi OR signal between the zoo parking lot and the park entrance, so I was fighting for my life to text her. I sat down at this huge duck pond and was trying to text her my location, but, it just wouldn't send. Finally, she just gave up and said

"Hm? I can't find you, Pocchi, so I'm gonna walk to the zoo."

But I already just ran away from the zoo!! I'm not going back there!!! SO, I panicked, trying to send everything I possibly could.

"WAIT NO" "my wifi is so slow.." "DUCKS DUCKS NEAR DUCKS"

"Pocchi, where are you..??'

"i'm trying to type, i'm sorry..." "I'm by the fucking ducks" "oh my gosh!! my texts aren't sending!!"

One text finally breached the silence.

"I am by the dicks"

I mean, I guess it worked.. We wandered a bit more before I finally found her, and she was panting and fighting for her life. I FELT SO HORRIBLE.. (￣_￣|||) We talked for a bit in this perfectly quiet and remote spot in the shade, until she finally went, "hey, do you want to see a really cool park? It's just over this bridge!" I accepted, thinking it would just be a short walk - we're both tired and carrying things after all.. I follow her for a while and, suddenly, we're crossing a massive bridge over the freeway. But I'm too awkward to decline at this point, so I cross anyway... (´ぅω-｀)

We ended up at this quiet park with basically no one in it, and were walking toward a small forest.. There were a lot of squirrels, but most of them ran up and hid in the trees the moment we came up the hill. It was then I remembered this idiotic tip I always tell people!! φ(*￣0￣) If you wave your arm in a certain way at a squirrel, it'll become your friend! So, I stopped, and told my friend to watch my squirrel dance, and wave my arm at a squirrel... the last remaining squirrel just stood there, watching me for a painfully long time. My friend, getting embarrassed with my antics went "'Pocchi, I think you're traumatizing him...'
So, I agreed, and we went to find a bench. At some point, it got too hot to sit on the benches, so we went to seek refuge back in the forest. We sat in the leaves and talked for a while, but all of a sudden, she went, '...oh!'

I turned around, and..

The same one from earlier... (　´_ゝ`) ふーん

I didn't really know what to do!! He didn't seem scared at all and kept getting closer, it resembled more of a small dog than a squirrel.. I tried to ignore him and keep talking, but he would climb on my leg and sniff my hands!?

He would crawl on my lap and try and lick my hands, but wouldn't get anywhere near my friend. It got to the point where I was so worried more squirrels would come and smother me, so we got up and left. Σ(゜Д゜;) He didn't stop following us until we neared the freeway bridge.. We took refuge under a nearby bridge and just talked for a while, it was really really nice .. I wish I got a picture, it was seriously gorgeous!! But we talked about music and art and she made me try on her glasses - and then panicked because I almost broke them .. (｡ŏ﹏ŏ)ﾉ⌒✹ i still recoil from embarrassment..

It was a really good day!! It was too late to swim by the time I got back to the hotel, but I think that's alright. (●ˇ∀ˇ●) Spending time and accidentally taming squirrels was good, too. I wonder why animals are drawn to me, it's weird.. a zebra and an ibis followed me at the zoo before that, too. Anyways!! That's my blog for the day, so.. now i want to nap instead.
