been laughing at this for 20 minutes

did anyone read this book or have this read to them in elementary school? 
i remember in like 2nd grade my teacher read this book to the class and all i could this about was the cover bc i didnt have my glasses until 5th grade so i was essentially blind until then and i couldnt figure out what the fuck this book cover was supposed to be. i literally thought it was an old wrinkly fat dog guy in bed watching tv and i didnt understand what it had to do with being jittery on the first day of school
