i’m starting to realize more and more how much i miss the days when the internet, in all honesty, sucked. yeah, the quality and craftsmanship of pretty much everything was awful - but because of that, everything was so much more personal.
it feels now as though the internet is moreso just corporations pushing slop for us to consume like practically everything is nowadays.
i miss the days of forming genuine and meaningful relationships with strangers in online communities and being excited to get online and chat with them in real time via forums/other online websites. used to be really into social media as it was sorta similar, but it’s really growing old for me as it’s just not the same.
sorry for the rant - just kinda felt like spilling something i had stuck on my mind. with that, i think i’ll put an end to my first blog. thank you for reading :)

I feel you sort of. I wasn’t around for the MySpace days and whatnot, but I look back on that stuff and the content made in those times and wish I could have been there to experience it. Even as I grew up in the 2010s, a lot of the content I liked the most was from the mid 2000s to early 2010s. Guess that says a lot about me.
