i have not had a post op journal moment for 5 days. i have been very lazy! on thursday i ran errands with a friend. on friday i went into town and got a manicure, a sweet treat and applied for a credit card, a perfect balance of adult tasking (after six months of being beaten down into getting one) :)
it's nice to take a couple slooooow days. really savor them. then get back into the swing of things. begin worrying about packing, texting my roommate, getting my car stereo fixed bc the right side has gone out. these couple of 'off' days after turning in my papers have gotten me more comfortable with driving, trying on old tops for some amazing before and afters, and getting back to my full range of motion. i am so glad i kept a select few tops over the years as my boobs outgrew them. those are the most satisfying to put on, like a promise kept to myself. now when i look in my closet, the amount of baggy sweatshirts is a little insane. given they weren't as baggy and often fell awkwardly over my chest prior to the reduction. i owned so many and none of them could make the undeniable pounds of boob disappear under fabric. baggy sweatshirts are a way of life and they served me dearly. they obviously will continue to, but i may need to cull the herd.
i need to thank my girlfriend for introducing me to more of britney spears' music. my mom hated britney spears when my sister and i were children, so when i began dating my girlfriend she made me a playlist of her favorite britney spears songs. brave new girl and piece of me have been my favorites and have not left my on repeat.
