Pokemon Sleep!

If you're a Pokemon fan youve probably heard about their new sleep tracking app, ive been using it for 4 days now and I can't recommend it enough

For context I have some form of sleep disorder very similar to narcolepsy and have trouble getting good consistent sleep. Even after full nights of sleep i'll wake up and feel like death, tired and groggy, because even though i'm sleeping my brain isnt resting properly

SO, as you could imagine I could greatly benefit from tracking my sleep and trying to adhere to a bedtime, and thats where pokemon sleep came in :) I've been a lifelong fan of the pokemon franchise so it was a no brainer for me to download the app.

You are greeted by the newest professor, Neroli (who is a total dilf cutie) and set up with your own snorlax to train as you sleep. you can feed snorlax berries or make a variety of recipes. each night before you sleep you can have the app track your sleep.

Primarily the app tracks your movement to calculate how deeply asleep you are using the phone's built in accelerometer. Another feature available is the app records any noises that may happen in the middle of the night. at first i was highly creeped out by this feature, i mean how many horror stories have i heard about people recording themselves in their sleep and seeing some stalker come out from the closet, some things are better left unknown right? however i found it pretty amusing to be able to listen to my loud ass snoring in the middle of the night, and even funnier to hear my sweet kitty who sleeps with me meow and purr into the phone.

The app also offers relaxing sounds to listen to as you sleep, personally music is too stimulating for me to fall asleep to, as well as the only available sound being a chill remix of the pokemon center theme. Not sure if you unlock more sounds as you go but so far i have not used this feature.

Once you do wake up from your sleep you can tell the app youve woken up and it will calculate your sleep score and afterwards there will be around 3 to 5 pokemon that you can take photos of to add to your sleepdex. you can also give treats in order to have them join you as a helper pokemon which will collect berries and ingredient for your Snorlax. The game will automatically give you a pikachu, which you can nickname, as your first helper pokemon.

Thats about it at the top of my head for what the game is like and what features are offered. As for my final review i would highly recommend this app if you are someone who struggles to keep track of their sleep and adhere to a bed time, and especially so if you are a pokemon fan :)

If you've made it this far thanks for reading <3
