This is a dream I had recently

Me and my brother were home alone and it was a stormy night. I heard a knock at my door so I open it to find 3 people standing there, a little girl and her parents. They kept insisting I let them in but I just kept refusing because I was told not to let anyone inside. They managed to get inside and it turned out they were actually shapeshifters?. I tried my best to get them to leave but they wouldn't so I fell asleep. In the morning (still the dream) I went back to try catch them and eventually was able to kick them out by using my cat to scare them away.
