When did it become so toxic here?(TW bigots, creeps)

Oh my god! I've had this account for over a year and every few weeks I pop back on here and watch more and more people be openly homophobic and racist. Before it was rare to see someone be called out for something problematic or gross but now it seems like everytime I check out the public blogs there's a new p3d0 being called out or a new bigoted rant. Why can't people just go back to sharing their interests and their art and stuff why is there ppl defending nazi groups claiming "everyone has an opinion". It's ridiculous and just so disheartening. There were always a few bad ppl here and I'm thankful to the community for calling them out but wow it's everytime I'm on here there's several bad apples spoiling the bunch. 

It's exhausting please do better y'all :(
