Hi, Before i say anything i just want to let you know i dont want to hate on anyone. Im posting it just to ask for your opinion so please if you comment, try to be nice, thanks.
Some time ago, i've started seeing a lot of hate on scenecore. Back then i didnt fully understand the difference between scene and scenecore, i thought scenecore is just some other quirky name for scene, but i've done some research and found out its something different. I didnt really thought of it as anything bad, but then i came across a few posts describing it as something bad. Saying that artists like 6arelyhuman, rebzzyx, kets4eki, m1v etc. are trash and people who like scenecore are just scene posers and wannabes. But then they also said that scene music is millionaires, brokencyde etc.
I really like both scene and scenecore and dont have any problem with any of them and i am really tollerant of a lot of things but i dont know what to feel. I love scene culture and scenecore too, i dress like scene but i love artists like 6arelyhuman, kets4eki, m1v, rebzzyx, s3rl and the style too, but i dont like being called a poser. I love both of these styles but sadly i prefer the scenecore/hyperpop type of music more, but then people say that scenecore isnt really a thing and people who like it are scene wannabes.
My biggest question is what do you think of it? i would be glad if someone would tell what is wrong with scenecore and why people hate it cuz i dont think i fully understand. And what am i suppossed to do, i love dressing scene but i prefer scenecore/hyperpop music and i would love to get along with everyone but i dont feel like i belong to any of these bcuz i feel like im not "accepted" in scene cuz of my music taste and then when it comes to scenecore, people call it trash, cringe, fake etc.
Im sorry for any spelling mistakes and if anything is offensive to anyone. Have a nice day! <3

I agree with you. I also like "scenecore" music but, in the end isn't it hyperpop? I've heard Kets4eki and other artists of the same genre saying that their music genre was hyperpop and not scenecore, I don't really know. I guess a way of ending all this arguments about scene and scenecore is using the term hyperpop for scenecore music. Please correct me if I'm wrong!! xD

most scenecores are annoying little 9 year olds wanting to be scene
so instead of hating on them help them discover actual scene fashion + music and make them feel welcome in the community instead of booing them away

Everything would be fine is scenecore people just understood that it's not the same as scene in my opinion. Let me explain, like every subculture music is what keeps it going, it's the soul and heart of every subculture. And every subculture has specific genres tied to it, in scene these genres are happy hardcore, pop punk , crunkcore and some types of metal (I can't remember what they r called rn). In scenecore you have mainly genres like hyperpop and breakcore.
That doesn't mean that you can't listen to a mix of genres, I'm not trying to say that you can only listen to a few specific genres or you're out of the club. For example I love listening to lots of genres and I'm constantly experimenting with different music. What I'm trying to say is that you can't consider yourself to be a part of a subculture if you don't listen to the music at all. You can listen to crunkcore/hardcore/pop punk AND hyperpop/whatever other genre you like and call yourself scene, but if you don't listen to scene music genres then you simply can't call yourself scene

IMO, viewing "scenecore" as poser music is kinda strange. It's inherently a modern adaptation of OG scene music. I think there should be a distinction just because the newer stuff sounds different. The people who go out of their way to call scenecore fans "posers" are lame.
I watched a full video by an underrated scene youtuber, she described it's mainly because those artists seualize scene culture. They usually refer to scenes as being sluts and bitches, like with lyrics saying "my little scene slut" or "scene bitch" and stuff, and she was upset because scene is an arctistic culture suddenly being reffered to as horny rainbow girls by the scenecore community. As well as many scenecore kids making fun of 2000's scene music like Freakin Freak by "Dot Dot Curve :)". So they have very reasonable reasons to hate or dislike scenecore kids, screamo which is a big element in the scene community is also being left out a lot nowadays, i understand why they'd like to have scene and scenecore as different subcultures, not the same thing. I think its fine that scenecore won't be the same as scene, it can be seen as a subculture heavily influenced by scene, just how back in the days scene was just a subculture heavily influenced by emo. (After all, they do look quite different, scene kids wear little to no accessories while scenecore kids usually look more like they're a mixture of decore and scene).

I dont get the hate either tbh. Like I grew up with OG scene and emo music and Scenecore just seems like a good way to seperate the next generation of this stuff from what inspired it. If anything people should be happy to word exists?? Like it's letting you keep the original scene intact while letting newer artists and styles come into their own. Idk the hate seems overblown. also the newer music is good, idc what anyone says lol
its mainly because of the change in music, less screamo and more hyperpop which isnt really scene music (we gotta remember that subcultures are balanced through music, without scene music it just isnt quite right, of course though; scenes can listen to more music genres, its just that if they DONT listen to actual scene music its not really.... yeah), plus, the over-sexualization over scene kids with lyrics like "my little scene slut" or calling scene girls bitches makes OG scenes mad, because these artists are putting an "actively horny" or "playboy/playgirl" image onto scene kids

Im pretty sure its cuz scene is based not only on fashion but also music and hyperpop isnt considered scene music by many people, so you know its like being a metalhead but not listening to metal. And about scenecore, well i dont think its anything bad, be yourself just dont cause harm to others.
i agree
