Ghostbusters rant: 7/21/23

Y'all, I have been into this stupid little franchise for 10 (almost 11) years and its been consuming my life the entire time. Your favorite is probably autistic but anyways

I reall struggle fitting into the current online fandom because it is primarily the people who got into it through Afterlife, even if they knew of Ghostbusters or watched the original, they still really only got into it because of Afterlife. And that's fine, I'm not here to gatekeep because of how someone got into something.

I just struggle to interact with the fan space anymore. I have spent so long analyzing these characters and figuring out even small details and it genuinely makes it hard to read fanfiction and what not. Mainly because my preffered ship is neither canon nor even popular in the fandom. On top of that, the few creators I find with the same ship genuinely completely rewrite the characters to be totally different people. Like, even if you aren't in the GB fandom, I can probably compare it to the Eddsworld fandom and what they did to the boys.

This is not a serious rant, it's just me being mildly irritated about something that no one else cares about lmao.
