does anyone always feel like a poser??

i've been trying to get into different types of music and really branch out into different genres, but it can be a little bit daunting! ive noticed this a lot in the world of emo, punk, and rock music subcultures. i love the music and i love listening to all types of music but i always feel like i can never know enough about the music or the culture so that people will stop seeing me as a poser or a wannabe. i get that alot when im using tiktok, there are so many people who will tell people in the comments to step back from certain kinds of music if you dont understand every part of the culture or every lyric reference (like the clothing etc) and i feel like in a lot of cases it is so unwarranted and just makes me not want to listen to it anymore!!

can anyone else relate? or do you agree with them? if so please tell me why!
