teachers are actually so awesome

today I was in woodwork, and I was talking to one of my friends about potato's (,don't ask y), and this kid walks up to me and says, you know I'm Irish I love potato's and walks away. so I tell back to him loud enough for my teacher to hear, "im Irish too actually" (which I am, it's not uncommon in Australia). then my teacher walks up to me, proceeds to fistbump me and say, ohh nice I'm Irish too, did you know I'm actually RELATED TO NED KELLY'S SISTER (he's an Australian colonial icon). anyway yeah that was weird but funny.
