Write blog posts and comment on others (stick to Recents, the big posts are usually pretty shitty) to meet people

Learn a little CSS and experiment with your profile! Right-click on the background of the page and open the "Inspect" menu to open a live editor on any webpage, the parts that control the appearance are under "style editor"

Join some groups and post on their forums

After you add some people, reply on peoples bulletins and write your own

This site is very much an active experience that requires some work to really get to know people and enjoy yourself, but it's very worthwhile because a lot of the regulars who have been here for a while are really cool.

No problem! Also, I recommend this to pretty much everyone new to CSS on this site so I'll share it here too, if you want to play around with your CSS and see what you can make with it, upload your styles in a document hosted on a different site and use an @import statement, like this:

@import url('https://engiqueering.com/spacehey/layout.css');

That loads the CSS in from a different site so I don't have to worry about accidentally erasing it by misclicking or pasting something in the box, and also makes it easy to make changes. You can use any site that lets you upload and share files to host it, but people here tend to favor Dropbox and neocities (I like neocities, personally).

A lot of people will spend HOURS working on their page and then accidentally refresh the page the wrong way and eliminate an entire day's worth of work (and then usually never come back), so I try to let everyone know they can 100% put their spacehey art projects somewhere safer.

ya ofc! and u can use this however u like!!! sm ppl use it as an online diary or u can use it to post about just like anything that interests u!!! I would recommend adding cewl ppl u find and joining groups and being active on others blog posts :D
