Giant prickly stick insect

Some guy on Facebook was giving away a bunch of these so I mustered up some confidence and shot him a message.

I was able to pick one up the same evening, I wasn't told that I needed to bring my own container (he might have mentioned it in another post that I didn't see) but luckily my mom made me bring one just to be sure.

Visually really reminded me of a ghost mantis that I had gotten from ome of my friends before, which was a joy to keep (but is now deceased). Tho these are herbivores and can be fed using leaves from my yard, yay! I won't have to buy those big tubs of flies that spill out everywhere 😅.

I'm planning to make her a proper enclosure shortly! And hopefully she'll live a long and fruitful life.
