Posers (slight rant)

Yall gotta go outside.

I see alot of people (including myself) hating on posers and tictok and all of that shit. While yes i hate tictok and metal tictok specificly and hope that it burns in the firey pits of hell, I also think that we should just stop complaining about it.

Like, your not gonna see a poser at a bm/dm record store or at a live gig, so they arnt really interfering with the actual bm community. Plus most of them are usually doing it for attention and rarely ever go outside.

Would also like to mention that some of these ‘posers’ are kids and are probably new to bm. I mean i started out listening to mayhem and darkthrone n shit and while yes i do still listen to them (i am currently listening to darkthrone while typing this) i did branch out and explored the genre. Just let them explore the genre or give them some time to actually get into the bm community.

And if theyre just listening to freezing moon for the 1 millionth time and dont want to branch out and check out other stuff, then just ignore them.

Honestly all trends and stuff come to an end. Kratze be grausamkeit will probably be forgotten on tictok soon. While black metal tictok will probably still exist i think its just best to ignore them and focus on said actual scene and actual bands.

Actually go outside and support youre local scene (if you have one) and touch grass and talk to people. And also, branch out and listen to other types of music!

Plus its the age of the internet and gatekeeping is kinda useless but if youre a gatekeeper then keep on doing whatever makes you happy im not gonna go hating on gatekeepers comming from someone who used to be one. Do whatever you want idc.
